Scanners aus London - ein Juwel der UK-Indie-Szene. Sie zelebrieren einen erfrischenden Sound zwischen Indie, Artrock & New Wave. Mal melancholisch bezaubernd, mal Dancefloor- kompatibel. Und über allem schwebt die wundervolle Stimme der Sängerin Sarah Daly.
Sicher nicht die erste Bands aus London, die sich die Etikette Artrock auf ihre Fahnen näht, aber die erste seit langem die fast ohne Industrie und Testosteron eine Menge Staub aufgewirbelt hat. Sarah Daly schafft es mit ihrer Stimme den Sex von METRIC neben der Wut von YEAH YEAH YEAHS zu vereinen. Eine der interessantesten englischen Bands derzeit. Scanners zelebrieren einfach unverbrauchten Wave mit der Vielschichtigkeit des Pop & dem Background von Indie & Punk. Klasse.
Die Basis für eine große Fanbase existiert bereits: über 300.000 Myspace Clicks, diverse Europa & US Touren, ein Release auf Dimmak (Bloc Party, The Rakes, Klaxons), Unterstützung von ED BANGERS´ UFFIE.
