| CD-DETAILS R.A.W. (RUSSIANS AT WORK) [VALIQUE] |
|
Valique has been busy making music since the beginning of the 90’s ranging from live-performed heavy jungle to jazzed up ethnic soundtracks, it is only within the last few years that he has gained the title of #1 Russian funk/soul producer – and for good reason!
The first 12†“Taking Your Seat†received massive support from DJ´s worldwide, and his remix of “Thirty Three†by The New Mastersounds (from “The New Mastersounds re:mixed†on Record Kicks) joined the “Best of Year†list on Craig Charles´ acclaimed BBC 6 Music Funk and Soul Show.
Following several digital releases and the second 12†single “(Let Go) Trouble Girlâ€, Valique presents “R.A.W. (Russians At Work)†– 11 dancefloor tracks, including vocal collaborations with Fanny Franklin of Ubiquity Records and Sofi Ocran.
Anything from horns to Iskra disco synths can be found on “R.A.W.â€, as Valique delivers a DJ-friendly view of modern disco-funk.
