Singer/guitarist Kurt Angerpower and drummer Hico Gun from Göppingen, Germany founded the trio Nervine in early 2000. Roy King has been handling bass duties since original bass player Ralf Schneider left the band.
After an intense 2 year period of songwriting and practicing, the band cut their first studio demo songs in the summer of 2002. In May of 2004 the final tracks were recorded for their debut album, which was released in August of 2004 under the Indie label Code-Red-Records.
The eagerly awaited, upcoming album was recorded in September 2006 at the renowned Helion Studios in Munich, produced by Seref Alexander Badir. Badir's production talents have contributed strongly to what promises to be Nervine's best material to date.
Nervine's music can be characterized chiefly as highly aggressive rock, often with deep emotional undertones. Kurt Angerpower's driving, brute-force vocals and heavy, distorted-rock guitar lines clearly reveal the band's Grunge/Heavy Rock influence. 'DirtRock', 'Shock 'N Roll' and 'Sonic Hellride' are the terms which most clearly describe Nervine's music.
The band has a strong following of dedicated fans, and has established themselves as something of an institution in the southern Germany live rock scene. You have not experience 'Life' if you have not yet experienced Nervine 'Live'. Nervine is Rock...Right in your face!!
Nervine has performed as opener for such bands as Bloodflowerz and Kaptain Sun.
