When Forteba’s first album “Space Between Us” was released on Plastic City in 2007, the listeners and critics were convinced by the clear sound and the clear intention Krisztián Dobrocsi followed with this debut. It was a getaway from every day life with senstive sounds in a relation chip with music that became equal with a loved person and it allowed the listener to throw all negative feelings in the box the beats built by giving them a stream into space of consciousness. Since then he worked on the second album while touring through the world and working with his beside project as Krisztián Decay where he convinces as lounge producer. Now it is time for his second album “For Some Time Past” to explore the world and to shape it with a new facet of deep electronic house music. Born and raised in Hungary Krisztián started to produce electronic music at the age of eighteen with chill-out and breakbeat, but soon took the next step into the world of four-to-the-floor rhythms. Building his studio in 1999 with his friend Gábor Pasztorális both started releasing music as Le Garage on various Hungarian labels. Around the same time Krisztian got to know P60's Zoltán Nagy, a Drum'n'Bass DJ who would subsequently hire Krisztián for post-production services in P60's deep house department. From 2002 to 2004 he founded a lounge band with his friend Gero, playing in switzerland. Today he is using his Forteba alias only for his deep house releases. With the new album “For Some Time Past” Krisztián Dobrocsi shows again his talent to create a deepness that does not seems to be wet. The listener will not find a culmination of room effects that are overlaying the dreamful core of the tracks. It is impressing how he concentrates on the elements and their absolute effect they have on the arrangements. In Tracks like “Snowfall”, “Exxed” or “For Some Time Past” Krisztián shows how straight deepness can be. Otherwise he proves with tracks like “Dizoxin”, that also appeared on the “Plastic City Radio Show” compilation, “Piko” or “Second” how deep and emotional dancefloor oriented tracks can move an audience. Experimenting with emotions in a levelheaded an measured way Forteba created an album that is free from euphoria by what it is possible to watch the feelings through a magnifying-glass.
